Job Title: Content Analyst – ESG Data Collection
Job Description:
The Environment, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) team plays a crucial role in delivering integrated financial and non-financial information that is vital for understanding the long-term performance and risk profile of major corporations. The Content Analyst is responsible for researching company documents and collecting relevant environmental and social data. They will handle queries related to the team and provide expert advice on specific content knowledge, utilizing quality concepts and techniques to drive improvement within the content collection team and quality & service groups. The role also requires delivering on all tasks as per the ESG team’s strategic plans and having hands-on experience with databases, including independently handling database queries.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Administer databases and source exchange and contributed data.
- Stay updated on the latest collection policies, procedures, and market developments impacting data collection.
- Assist in projects emphasizing data content.
- Review the work of analysts and data providers.
- Take responsibility for the quality, accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of data within the team.
- Resolve client queries promptly, ensuring high standards of response quality and customer satisfaction.
- Make quick, independent decisions and provide guidance to analysts on data collection policies.
- Continuously identify and suggest improvements to reduce client service requests and help meet service targets.
- Recommend process improvements and permanent fixes for preventing client queries.
- Lead special projects related to the ESG dataset as per strategic plans.
- Collaborate effectively with global teams and data providers to deliver high-quality data.
- Cultivate a learning and positive work environment.
Scope & Impact:
- Conduct research on company websites and filings to understand reports and accurately identify the data to be captured.
- Accountable for the quality and timeliness of your work, ensuring it meets agreed-upon standards. Your work will be reviewed by the manager to ensure it is accurate, complete, and on time.
- Work independently within a defined area, taking ownership of issues within your knowledge scope.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements to your immediate manager.
- Decisions are made within the guidelines set by others.
Required Skills:
- Expertise in Arabic language with the ability to understand and update ESG data in accordance with policies.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
- Research capabilities to understand company reports and accurately identify the data for collection.
- Curiosity to continuously learn and explore content-related subjects.
- Excellent reading comprehension skills to understand complex reports.
- High accountability and responsibility in your role.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Willingness to work in shifts.
